I have had a change and I am now aml-photographics.

This page will rarely get updated now, but the other one is very empty due to the SLOW computer I have, so I will slowly add people to the other page and images and stuff.

Absent without excuse.

Yes I have been away a long time and admittedly there is no excuse except pure laziness on my part. Seems that no matter the intentions life always escapes me! Kids, school, work, friends and family.

I have been dropping in every so often to see how some of my fav artists are going as well as doing a hunt for something inspiring and sure enough I have been inspired more than once. I am looking forward to launching into the 2009 school year with new direction and a new plan of attack how ever some of the familiar will stay as I have an excellent model in my sister Sarah and have no plans to change that in the imediate future.

This years work will be less about a story or a body of work and more about experimentation with new printing techniques.

I look forward to sharing stuff with you all as the year progresses

So I am still along way off the mark, but u tell me what artist can see a plan and pull it off and be 100% happy with it after 2 shoots?

Not me thats for sure.

So here is the low down. I am doing a twisted fairytale/goth fairytale theme, the first shoot which was in the wedding dress really didn't work, the idea and planning was there but the final images just didn't cut the mustard so to speak.

So the second shoot, at an entirely different location seemed to be the way to go. Whilst it is still not great it is a hell of a lot closer to the goal.

Now a little bit about the storyline I am trying to reach in this shoot.

I want people to look at the images and go ah its snow white, etc but at the same time I am hoping to incorporate elements to each image sequence to make u the viewer think mmmmm maybe I am wrong.

I am hoping to get across the point that not everything is as it seems.

So take a look when I actually get them uploaded and let me know what you think. I know there is a long way to go, but I am hoping that there are a couple of images which will be a good start.

OK I have hit yet another hurdle in this diploma course, it would seem that while I have an awesome idea in my head I am struggling to work out just how to express it so that my models and my teacher know where I am going with this.

I am not much of an artist when it comes to picking up a pen and paper so it would seem that I have hit the "old brick wall".

I will keep you all posted if and when I get my head around it all.......

Ok so today for me is day 2 in class, seems like there is so much time ahead and yet I know it will go so very very fast.
This year will be number 1 of my 2 yr diploma, add that to my daughters first year at school (kindergarten) and my son being in childcare again (he is almost 3) it is going to be one hell of a rollercoaster ride.

I haven't yet found a specific area of photography I would like to focus on, I am just enjoying experimenting and getting out there to see what I can do, over the coming weeks I will be puting heaps more work up and I would love everyone to come a comment and critic my stuff.
